After half-a-day of prototyping, and a another half-a-day of coding, I updated Cyclogz to geotag all my riding pictures. The process is quite simple:
- Set the camera to the local timezone, and take pictures.
- Update ride logs from Garmin Edge/ForeRunner to Cyclogz.
- On the ride page at Cyclogz, select to add photos. This will ask you to authorize Cyclogz to access Flickr account, if not already authorized
- Cyclogz will search user's public photos that match the ride, and geotag them automatically!
All 600+ photos that I took in 2007 and 2008 are now geotagged, and can be browsed on the map at http://www.flickr.com/photos/subbu_allamaraju/map.
